About the Role
We are currently looking for a Tool Crib/Warehouse Attendant to join our team in the fabrication of pressure vessels and process piping at our Nisku fabrication facility. This role is responsible for the distribution of tools and materials from the tool crib, ensuring accurate sign out and timely return of all equipment. We are looking for a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who can also work independently, and is focused on safety. Key Responsibilities
- Clean, maintain and organize tools
- Maintain tool inventory, inspect tools and equipment to ensure items are in working order
- Perform regular maintenance/repairs on tools and related equipment
- Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment
- Maintain work area in an organized manner
- Assist with service and maintenance record keeping
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment; follow all safety policies and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date inventory lists for tools, equipment, and consumables
- Manage inventory of PPE including gloves, eyewear, hard hats, hearing protection, and other safety‑critical items
- Track PPE usage trends and reorder levels to ensure availability at all times
- Support warehouse in material management, shipping/receiving and related duties as required
- Follow and support all workplace safety policies, hazard controls, and PPE requirements
- Perform other duties as required
This position requires the successful candidate to perform tasks and responsibilities of a physically demanding nature throughout the workday, including: lifting (in excess of 50 pounds) on a regular basis; walking, standing, pushing, pulling, bending and related physical activities on frequently throughout the workday.
Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift a variety of materials, equipment and tools weighing in excess of 50 pounds is required
- Strong communication and customer service skills; works well in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to adjust to changing demands and priorities
- A solid understanding of fabrication shop operations and related tooling preferred
- Reliable and accountable in their work
- Previous experience in a Tool Crib/Warehouse position in a fabrication shop or similar industrial environment is an asset
- Strong safety focus and experience with safe work procedures
- Ability to perform physical work for prolonged periods in an industrial shop environment required, with occasional work outdoors
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and comprehend written materials
- Safety-oriented; Valid First Aid ticket and other HSE-related tickets an asset
Schedule:
- 8 hour shifts; Monday to Friday
- Please Note: Days and hours of work may vary according to business requirements
- Some overtime may be required during busy periods
